Violin or Mandolin

 

Joyce Rasmussen Balint is a professional musician who plays both violin and mandolin. When she made her debut recital at Carnengie Hall, the New York Times headline read "Joyce Balint shines in string recital"!

Joyce is the mandolin soloist for the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and also the founder and director of Chamber Music Westchester. A busy freelance musician, Joyce has performed in many concerts and events throughout the New York metropolitan area. In Westchester, she has played with the Chappaqua Chamber Orchestra, the Westchester Symphony and the New Rochelle Opera Orchestra. In New York City, in addition to the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, she has played for the Amor Artis Chamber Orchestra and the New York City Opera. She is also a frequent solo performer.

Joyce is on the faculty of Mozartina Musical Arts Conservatory in Tarrytown NY where she teaches violin, mandolin and ensemble. She is also an active participant in classical music programing at Music Hall Theater and numerous programs at the Bronxville Women's Club.

Joyce is available to play for weddings and special events in the New York metro area and Westchester County as part of a violin duo, with piano, harp and other ensemble groups. Call her for a consultation and quote.
